Job 1:1, 13~18
Job 1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. 6 I MC VC
Job 1:13 And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house: MC VC
Job 1:14 And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them: MC VC
Job 1:15 And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. MC VC
Job 1:16 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. MC VC
Job 1:17 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. MC VC
Job 1:18 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house: MC VC
Job 2:1~9
Job 2:1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord. MC VC
Job 2:2 And the Lord said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. MC VC
Job 2:3 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause. MC VC
Job 2:4 And Satan answered the Lord, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. MC VC
Job 2:5 But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face. MC VC
Job 2:6 And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life. 4 I MC VC
Job 2:7 So went Satan forth from the presence of the Lord, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown. MC VC
Job 2:8 And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes. MC VC
Job 2:9 Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die. 4 I MC VC
Job 4:1~21
Job 4:1 Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said, MC VC
Job 4:2 If we assay to commune with thee, wilt thou be grieved? but who can withhold himself from speaking? MC VC
Job 4:3 Behold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast strengthened the weak hands. MC VC
Job 4:4 Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees. MC VC
Job 4:5 But now it is come upon thee, and thou faintest; it toucheth thee, and thou art troubled. MC VC
Job 4:6 Is not this thy fear, thy confidence, thy hope, and the uprightness of thy ways? MC VC
Job 4:7 Remember, I pray thee, who ever perished, being innocent? or where were the righteous cut off? MC VC
Job 4:8 Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same. MC VC
Job 4:9 By the blast of God they perish, and by the breath of his nostrils are they consumed. 2 I MC VC
Job 4:10 The roaring of the lion, and the voice of the fierce lion, and the teeth of the young lions, are broken. MC VC
Job 4:11 The old lion perisheth for lack of prey, and the stout lion’s whelps are scattered abroad. MC VC
Job 4:12 Now a thing was secretly brought to me, and mine ear received a little thereof. MC VC
Job 4:13 In thoughts from the visions of the night, when deep sleep falleth on men, MC VC
Job 4:14 Fear came upon me, and trembling, which made all my bones to shake. MC VC
Job 4:15 Then a spirit passed before my face; the hair of my flesh stood up: MC VC
Job 4:16 It stood still, but I could not discern the form thereof: an image was before mine eyes, there was silence, and I heard a voice, saying, MC VC
Job 4:17 Shall mortal man be more just than God? shall a man be more pure than his maker? 14 I MC VC
Job 4:18 Behold, he put no trust in his servants; and his angels he charged with folly: 2 I MC VC
Job 4:19 How much less in them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, which are crushed before the moth? MC VC
Job 4:20 They are destroyed from morning to evening: they perish for ever without any regarding it. MC VC
Job 4:21 Doth not their excellency which is in them go away? they die, even without wisdom. MC VC
Job 5:1~27
Job 5:1 Call now, if there be any that will answer thee; and to which of the saints wilt thou turn? MC VC
Job 5:2 For wrath killeth the foolish man, and envy slayeth the silly one. 4 I MC VC
Job 5:3 I have seen the foolish taking root: but suddenly I cursed his habitation. MC VC
Job 5:4 His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate, neither is there any to deliver them. MC VC
Job 5:5 Whose harvest the hungry eateth up, and taketh it even out of the thorns, and the robber swalloweth up their substance. MC VC
Job 5:6 Although affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground; MC VC
Job 5:7 Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward. 4 I MC VC
Job 5:8 I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause: 8 I MC VC
Job 5:9 Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number: 2 I MC VC
Job 5:10 Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters upon the fields: MC VC
Job 5:11 To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn may be exalted to safety. MC VC
Job 5:12 He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise. MC VC
Job 5:13 He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong. MC VC
Job 5:14 They meet with darkness in the day time, and grope in the noonday as in the night. MC VC
Job 5:15 But he saveth the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty. 2 I MC VC
Job 5:16 So the poor hath hope, and iniquity stoppeth her mouth. 2 I MC VC
Job 5:17 Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty: 4 I MC VC
Job 5:18 For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole. 11 I MC VC
Job 5:19 He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. MC VC
Job 5:20 In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword. MC VC
Job 5:21 Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh. MC VC
Job 5:22 At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth. MC VC
Job 5:23 For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee. MC VC
Job 5:24 And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle shall be in peace; and thou shalt visit thy habitation, and shalt not sin. MC VC
Job 5:25 Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth. MC VC
Job 5:26 Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season. MC VC
Job 5:27 Lo this, we have searched it, so it is; hear it, and know thou it for thy good. MC VC
Job 8:1~22
Job 8:1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said, MC VC
Job 8:2 How long wilt thou speak these things? and how long shall the words of thy mouth be like a strong wind? MC VC
Job 8:3 Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice? MC VC
Job 8:4 If thy children have sinned against him, and he have cast them away for their transgression; MC VC
Job 8:5 If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty; MC VC
Job 8:6 If thou wert pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous. MC VC
Job 8:7 Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase. 4 I MC VC
Job 8:8 For enquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thyself to the search of their fathers: MC VC
Job 8:9 (For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:) MC VC
Job 8:10 Shall not they teach thee, and tell thee, and utter words out of their heart? MC VC
Job 8:11 Can the rush grow up without mire? can the flag grow without water? MC VC
Job 8:12 Whilst it is yet in his greenness, and not cut down, it withereth before any other herb. MC VC
Job 8:13 So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite’s hope shall perish: 5 I MC VC
Job 8:14 Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust shall be a spider’s web. 5 I MC VC
Job 8:15 He shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall hold it fast, but it shall not endure. 2 I MC VC
Job 8:16 He is green before the sun, and his branch shooteth forth in his garden. MC VC
Job 8:17 His roots are wrapped about the heap, and seeth the place of stones. MC VC
Job 8:18 If he destroy him from his place, then it shall deny him, saying, I have not seen thee. MC VC
Job 8:19 Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow. MC VC
Job 8:20 Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evil doers: 2 I MC VC
Job 8:21 Till he fill thy mouth with laughing, and thy lips with rejoicing. MC VC
Job 8:22 They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nought. MC VC
Job 11:1~20
Job 11:1 Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said, MC VC
Job 11:2 Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified? MC VC
Job 11:3 Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed? MC VC
Job 11:4 For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in thine eyes. MC VC
Job 11:5 But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against thee; MC VC
Job 11:6 And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth. MC VC
Job 11:7 Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection? 10 I MC VC
Job 11:8 It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know? 6 I MC VC
Job 11:9 The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea. MC VC
Job 11:10 If he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him? MC VC
Job 11:11 For he knoweth vain men: he seeth wickedness also; will he not then consider it? 6 I MC VC
Job 11:12 For vain men would be wise, though man be born like a wild ass’s colt. MC VC
Job 11:13 If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him; MC VC
Job 11:14 If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles. MC VC
Job 11:15 For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear: MC VC
Job 11:16 Because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away: MC VC
Job 11:17 And thine age shall be clearer than the noonday: thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning. 4 I MC VC
Job 11:18 And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety. MC VC
Job 11:19 Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee. MC VC
Job 11:20 But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope shall be as the giving up of the ghost. 4 I MC VC
Psalm 73:12~17
Psalm 73:12 Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches. 2 I MC VC
Psalm 73:13 Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency. MC VC
Psalm 73:14 For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning. MC VC
Psalm 73:15 If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children. MC VC
Psalm 73:16 When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me; MC VC
Psalm 73:17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end. 2 I MC VC
Malachi 3:14~18
Malachi 3:14 Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the Lord of hosts? MC VC
Malachi 3:15 And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered. MC VC
Malachi 3:16 Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name. 2 I MC VC
Malachi 3:17 And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. 11 I MC VC
Malachi 3:18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not. 6 I MC VC
